I just love long weekends and spending time with family. Recently my family (nephews and sis-in-law included) went to the movies. It's pretty tough to find one movie to interest nine people so we split up. The girls went to see the romantic comedy Bridesmaids (which we absolutely loved) and the boys headed off to see the action packed Thor.

Biryani is a must in the selection of any menu, since guests always expect biryani, and would be upset if it were not there. Biryani is a dish of long grain basmati rice, cooked in the pot along with meat products, and served with dahee yogurt, raita, onion salad and yogurt drinks made of lassi. Biryani is the most popular dish in the Asian wedding world.



Add palm Ghee at home sugar and cardamom powder and mix it well. Take off from the flame and add 1 tbsp. of milk in it. Mix it well and check the consistency, if it becomes a mass of solid dough the fudge is ready. If it is slightly loose or dry add another tsp. of milk till you get a pliable dough.

Not only is this to be done in restaurants, but you can try it at home too and have a finger licking dinner at that. The first thing that you will be required to do is to make sure that you have all the spices at hand. These include red chilies, cardamom, nutmeg, cloves and others. All read more should be dried and in powder form. The most vital however are turmeric, ginger land curry. They are what form the basis of Indian cuisine.
